The foods in this package are all sealed in high density polyethylene buckets or #10 Cans with oxygen absorbers. In this compact form they will store well and require minimal storage space. This package comes in 1 box and 17 five-gallon buckets.
This is the most basic package of long lasting and nutritious food, at a minimal cost. The net weight of the food without packaging is 615 pounds. It serves as a very basic, nutritionally balanced, one year supply for an adult male. It also compliments The Food Storage Expansion Package perfectly, establishing a family with the ideal starter or emergency package.
With 4 gallons of cooking oil (for your fatty acid requirements), this basic package will provide 2523 calories and 89 grams of protein a day for a year.
Vegetable oil must be rotated as it does not have an extended shelf life.
