Extend Your Growing Season

Posted by Pam Molloy on 3/13/2012 to Tips on Tuesday
With four or more straw bales and a piece of clear plastic, you can make a cold frame.
Lay your bales around the perimeter of your garden bed. Cover the bales with heavy clear plastic, weighing it down. Once the weather is warm enough, use the straw as mulch. At the end of the season, til the mulch in to loosen the soil.
