Other People's Clutter
Posted by Pam Molloy on 2/21/2012 to Tips on Tuesday
How many times have you seen boxes of odds and ends  from someone's shop or garage at an auction? How about boxes or cans of miscellaneous hardware?

You think to your self, "Why would I take someone else's clutter to my garage?" When you are miles from town or short on cash and trying to finish a project before dark, it's nice to have spare nails, bolts, etc. It's amazing how often you can use this 'stash' to supply a substitute for a broken or missing part on a tool or outbuilding. As time allows, organize the hardware by 'like items' and don't worry about getting overly specific. An old cookie sheet makes a dandy tray to dump a coffee can of nails on to find the one you need.
We were fortunate enough to acquire a couple of pounds of fencing tacks in one of those boxes that we picked up for $2.
